Hello, My family originated near Arzano, Dalmatia. Some relatives still reside there. They have always been Roman Catholics. I helped a cousin who made a family tree. He did not know my grand mother`s Christian name. Iwas also able to give him some information about some old photographs that he had. My family`s added name is cakarovic. Ljubicic Ante Cakarovic, son of Filip 1893-1971.

Knowing the ethnicity and religious affiliation of your ancestors is very important, because it tells you where to look for their church vital records and which community to look into for contacting possible descendants.

I have attached the listings from the database of the Serbian Trade Association "The Merchant" sponsored children for the period 1889 -1943. The families and people from these places listed in these records were ethnic Serbs of Eastern Orthodox faith.

Hi to all!!/ Pozdrav svima!!

My name is Hrvoje Ljubicic and I was born in Zagreb/Croatia but my father was born in Ljubicici near village Rupe in the Sibenik area. My grandfather Andrija Ljubicic came with his brother and 6 cousins from Dugopolje/Split and inhabited this area in 1930s to trade. We are Roman Catholic and there are around 70 ancestors from these 7 families in different parts of the country and the world (Croatia, Belgium, France, Uruguay, Serbia, Germany).

I am not aware of were are originally my ancestors from (Imotski, Arzano, Podgora, Montenegro, Albania) so I would like to know more.

I am happy to see that there are so many Ljubicic people all around the globe!! :) Together we are stronger.

Best
Hrvoje
