As a student at Eastern High School in Detroit, "Uncle Harry" (Dad's brother) worked at Early's pharmacy across the street. He went to Detroit Tech (I think) nights and, soon after he graduated as a pharmacist , managed to buy out Mr. Early. He found it difficult to work with Mr. Early under those conditions and bought a storefront - I think on Fenkell avenue in Detroit and set Mr. Early up there. As a boy, I was paid a dollar to go in on Saturdays and clean up. Uncle Harry went on to have 6 drug stores but went broke, worked for others and, ultimately opened a store on M 59. He married late in life and adopted a son. - John D. L'Hote
