HI ,., I have an old copy of something someone sent me about 20 years ago .. was compiled by a woman named Florence Gesser who did research on the L'Hommedieu family in the late 50's ..
it hard to read and understand what she meant but she has
Ella listed as the second daughter under Richard Willis L'Hommedieu
ELLA J born Nov1841 d Feb 19 1882
m1 Paller m2 Porches 3d "Est:
ch Wm Lewis L'H
ch Mrs Ethel Blynn
ch Mrs A Allen
Mrs Geo Mule
ELLA buried under name ELLA L'H her stage name and she was a concert singer
This does - I believe well almost positive go back to my line .. David born in Smithtown. etc ..
Interestingly enough .. I remember coming across that name and occupaion before and taking note because I have been singing my entire life and studied opera for some years.. amazing how the traits are inherited .. I would love it - if somewhere there was a picture of her .:) ..
Well I hope that helps .. happy hunting and now I am curious .. have you contacted Evergreen cemetery for internment information ??
sincerley
