Surnames: L'Hommedieu, Hart
My ancestor, Matilda Hart, married Henry L'Hommedieu at Catskill NY 1/3/1806. They had sons: Henry Hart and James Eveland. Am seeking information on the family; with the ultimate goal of information on Matilda's father Elihu Hart. Our first American ancestor is Deacon Stephen Hart - 1632. Thank you for your time. stephen.hart@netzero.net

My g-g grandfather's name was Alfred L'Hommedieu, the last we knew of him he had a family in Chicago.
It was told that he and 4 other brother's came from France, they all went a different direction, not know if they ever reconnected.
Alfred married my g-g grandmother, her name was Anna, he left her shortly after she gave birth to my g=father, then died when he was 3. A family by the name of Graham raised him and his sister.
G-pa married a woman named Cornelia Graham, he changed his last name, said it was easier then spelling L'Hommedieu.
If anyone would like to help me find the other part of the family I would appreciate it.
@ of my aunts found Alfred in Chicago, he had another family there.
We live close to Fort Wayne Indiana. I would like to hear from more family.
Thank you
