Hi Leo,
My L'Hirondelle's are Magloire and Ephiesine/Ephrasine born 1850/1851 Alberta. Children are: Adalaide, Jean Baptist, Justine and Matilda.
Justine (b.1879) married a McDonald then a Felix Callioux (Callihoo?).
I found them on the 1901 census in St. Pierre, although I know they go to St.Paul's later.
I can't tell what their origin says. Do you know what the L'Hirondelle's are? I think their mother language says Cree?
Also their trade/profession says "F. Lab.?" and many others on the page do too. Do you know what this is?
If you know any more on this family I'd love to know.
Thank-you, Stacey

Magliore L’Hyrondelle (b. 1850 Lac Ste. Anne) in 1873 St. Albert married Euphrosine Beauregard (b. 1851 Edmonton), daughter of Charles Beauregard Sr and Josephte Kwarakwentha Callihoo l’Iroquoise.

Magliore was the son of Jean Baptiste l’Hyrondelle (b. abt 1816 Lesser Slave Lake - d. 8 Nov 1876) who in 1845 at Lesser Slave Lake married Catherine Loyer (b. Aug 1828 Jasper House) RG15-20/818 (Metis) of St. Albert, the daughter of Louis Loyer (Metis) and Jennie (Metis).

Jean Baptiste was the son of Jacques L’Hyrondelle (b. abt 1759 France - d. 28 Nov 1854) who on 12 Oct 1843 Fort des Prairie married Josephte Pilon (b. 1782, Louisiana) (Metis).

Hope this is helpful.

Best regards,
Rarihokwats
