At a lovely wedding Saturday afternoon in the home of her mother, Miss Genevieve Leyda, daughter of Mrs. Mable Leyda of Augusta, became the bride of Edgar Manfull of Carrollton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Manfull. The ceremony was solemnized by Rev. A. C. Prichard of the Augusta Presbyterian Church. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Clyde Leyda.
Attendants were Miss Margaret McCord of Cleveland, niece of the bride, and Bert George of Carrollton. The bride was dressed in a white marquisette gown over white satin and wore a fingertip veil with a band of orange blossoms and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses and baby breath. Miss McCord wore blue silk organdies and carried pink roses.
Mrs. Leyda, mother of the bride, wore a gown of aqua and a corsage of pink roses and sweet peas. Mrs. Manfull, the groom's mother, wore navy blue crepe with a corsage of pink roses and sweet peas. The groom's grandmother, Mrs. Noble, wore light blue silk crepe with a corsage of pink and white roses and sweet peas.
George Leyda, brother of the bride, sang "I Love You Truly" and "O Promise Me" preceding the ceremony. Miss Ruth Manfull, sister of the groom, accompanied at the piano. For the procession Miss Manfull played Mendelsohn Wedding March. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served to 40 guests. Miss Leota Leyda, Miss Lenore Hyatt, Miss Elizabeth Burtsfield and Mrs. Denver Vaughn, cousins of the bride, served.
