Hi all! I was poking around on the internet, looking for my husband's distant relatives and found this query site. his grandfather was Emil Henry LEUBNER who was born in Austria in 1888, died in Auburn, NY 15 Feb 1968. He migrated with his parents and little brother Josef and was naturalized in 1891. His parents were Christian Lewis LEUBNER, born 04 Feb 1869 in Austria, died Owasco, NY 01 August 1929. His wife was Emma Hildfleish(just guessing at spelling) born 1870 in Germany, died 10 July 1943 in Owasco, NY. They had a total of 11 children, that we know of, including one son, Fritz/Frank who remained behind with relatives, and who for some reason, was hanged as a teen. On his passport to visit relatives back home, with younger brother Josef, Emil listed his birthplace as Czechoslovakia.(!!!)In the cem. where Christian is buried with his wife, right beside him, is a Frederick W.LEUBNER, 1866-1928 and his wife, Josephine SLABY 1878-19--. I do not know how he is related to Christian, but they are in the same lot. There was another LEUBNER family in Auburn, NY when Christian and his family arrived, but they changed their name to HUEBNER. Could all these LEUBNERs be related?? Hoping to hear from you soon. Sally Leubner
