RICHLAND, WASH. - William Henry “Bill” Luebben, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather died on Sept. 23, 2014, with his family by his side.
He was born in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) on Jan. 20, 1925, to William and Fern Luebben, the second of six children, and their only son
. He served in the Navy during World War II and earned his degree in Architecture from the Ohio State University, after being honorably discharged in 1946.
He fell in love with Joyce “Freddie” Crosby, and married her on Aug. 14, 1948.
They remained married for 61 years until Freddie’s 2010 home going.
Bill is survived by his siblings, Marian Goodhart and Margaret (Jim) Roberts.
He is also survived by three of his children and their families, Rebecca Smorin (Mike), William C. Luebben, and Edward T. Luebben (Sally).

A viewing will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, Wash.,
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at the corner of Union and 10th in Kennewick, followed by a “Celebration” service to be held at 1 p.m. at the Richland Baptist Church, located at 1632 George Washington Way, Richland, Wash., (
