I'm trying to trace the history of Robert John Letts born Mar 25, 1882 in Calumet Is. Quebec Canada. He married Katherine Melina Letts born Dec. 18, 1888 in Fort Coulonge Quebec. They were married Apr 1919 in the Anglican Church Ottawa Ontario Canada. Yes, it's a Letts marrying a Letts

My Aunt was Rose May Slack born in 1903, Thrapston. She first married Henry Auburn and later Charles Louis Letts born in 1902, Northampton. I am trying to find any living relatives so any information that you could provide may help me further.

Robert John Letts was the son of James Letts (1855-1944) and Ruth French (1850-1921). James Letts was the son of Thomas White Letts (1815-1901) and Elizabeth Thompson (1819-1894). Thomas White Letts was the son of Thomas Letts (1790 England - before 1870 Calumet Island, Pontiac, Que). Thomas Letts had another son George (1818-1881)who married Ann Turnbull. Katherine Melina Letts was the daughter of Thomas Letts (1840 - 1896) and Cecilia Bannaugh. Thomas Letts was the son of George Letts and Ann Turnbull. Confusing, but I hope that helps.

Hi David, I also am researching the Letts family. My wife's GGGG Grandfather was Thomas Letts who from as much as I have been able to determine came from the Northamptonshire area of England and to Calumet Island, Quebec, Canada. My wife's line is Thomas Letts, Thomas White Letts, Thomas Letts, Hiram Letts, Ada Elsie Letts (husband William David Elkin), Edward Elkin, and my wife Judy Elkin.
