Is this a name that turns up in anyone's family tree??

She is my ggg gramma and immigrated to the US about 1890 with her children after her husband Joseph died in England. She moved to New Jersey and supposedly this is where she is buried. I currently do not have membership access and have not been able to trace her in census records or find a birth marriage or death record. She probably died some time between 1900 and 1930. Her daughter Lillian who is supposedly her youngest was born in England on May 14th 1883.

I do have Letts in my ancestry and they were in New Jersey. However, I have not found any Moore's so guess it is a different line.

maybe your family are cousins...I am curious to find out why they moved to NJ specifically after my ggg grandfather died in England...I am curious if Gertrude had brothers or sisters who moved to the US prior to her immigration that she may have gone to to be close to family after her husband's death. She was said to have owned a grocery store in England and the family was suppose to be setting one up in NJ. My gg gramma lived in McKee City when she was a young wife and mother, but I wonder if her mother Gertrude lived in the Newark area?? Supposedly the family was Jewish and my gg gramma got left out of Gertrude's will because she married outside the faith.

I reviewed the information I have on the "Letts". Elisha the oldest. was born in New Jersey in 1750. I have not found a Gertrude or Lillian. Elisha was born in Middlesex County New Jersey. Sorry I could not help you.

The Letts I'm looking for would be located in England in the 1850s or earlier. The spouse of Gertrude was Joseph Moore who lived abt 1845-abt 1890 in England. Gertrude moved to NJ with children after he died.

In the Letts information I have, I have not found any Gertrude or a Moore. Mine were from New Jersey, however.
