Thanks for the offer. I am searching for information on the LETTS family (probably of New Jersey). Catherine P. LETTS (1813-1856) was the daughter of Campbell P. LETTS (1777-1813). Catherine married Augustus Ladew c. 1830. Though Augustus was from the Albany, NY area, he did live in NYC for 2 -3 years where he was listed in the NYC directory as an "artist" and in another year, as a "type founder".
Any information you have on this line would be most appreciated.

I believe to be several letts families in NJ....1 in Lakewood NJ...i remember n school when i was younger and beleve father and son to be on the fire dept. there.
Another large letts family is in Jackson NJ that i know of and i know the parents just recently deceased within the past year.....lots of brothers and sisters here.... i know the father worked for the township and im not sure of there whereabouts now but they lived in Cassville,Jackson NJ and believe them to be formerly of New Egypt NJ.....I hope to have helped ....let me know at Stan007@webtv.net

I know no Billy Letts and William Letts
was my ancestors names before 1895! The last
one in my family died in that year. The last Letts
I knew and from and Camden Co. is my grandmother.
So sorry I really don't hink I'd be much help.
Look in the SS records or addresses in the phone book.
Don't worry about rejection, its your right to know
and there are people who will help you for free!!!
