Surnames: Lepine, Lapine, Lapierre
I found the following entry while searching in Montana census records:
1900 US Montana Census, Choteau County, Fort Benton Township, 15 June 1900, Sheet 15:
LAPINE, Aime, Head. White Male, age 55, born Jan 1845 in Maine; parents born in Canada. Married 19 years. Occupation: Farmer.
------, Sarah, wife, white female, age 40, born June 1859 in Canada. Parents born in Canada. Immigrated to US in 1880. Mother of 5 children, all living (in 1900). [No children were listed with them.]

[I am looking for a connection between the names LAPINE and LAPIERRE, which seem to be occasionally used interchangeably.]
