I am looking for any background info on Ruby May Bliss, my great-great grandmother. She was born Ruby May Leonard on May 29,1879 Astubula Ohio. I have parents names of Daniel and Mary, and a possible biological brother of Frank or Francis, but this may not be reliable.

Ruby was born 3 years after PP Bliss, a Methodist hymn writer who lived in Ashtubula, had died in a train wreck, and when she was adopted by the Bliss family, she took their last name and is listed on records as Ruby Bliss or Ruby Odgen after marriage.

She came to Clearfield PA when she was adopted, and listed as PP' Bliss' sister (despite age gap and age of adopted/listed parents) in the local records in Clearfield County PA.

Ruby Died May 26,1954 Clearfield Pa. I would like to find out if there was a reason that the Bliss family adopted Ruby from the same town that PP Bliss lived in when he died, and then was sent to live in the town where he was born. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
