I am Donas Lemoine's great great granddaughter, and I am having trouble finding documents linking him to his parents. I am told that his parents are Jean Antoine Lemoine and Genevieve Bellegarde. His first wife was Marie Cephalide Lemoine, his 2nd was Mary B. Sharbono. I am decended from his second marriage. That would be great! Are you decended from Jean Baptiste and Mary Cephalide, or one of the many other brothers? I know that Donas married J.B.'s wife Mary after J.B.'s death.

The Catholic Church entry for Donas' baptism is at the office of the church in Natchitoches. I used to have a copy but my records have become disorganized over the last ten years. The entry clearly stated that Donas was teh son of Jean Antoine LeMoine and Genevieve Bellegarde. He was baptized at the same time as his brother, Edward, I think.

I am his great-granddaughter and Donas is buried here on our property with a lot of other LeMoine kindfolk.
