I am seeking relatives of Hilda Mary Leleux, Scotland, who married John Gemmell Humphrey on 15 Feb, 1906 in Dumfries, Scotland. Relatives (sadly long out of touch) are Mrs Marian Laing (deceased), of 4422 S Derbigny, New Orleans, wife of James A Laing, retired consulting marine engineer and surveyor. During World War II, Mrs Laing was vice-president of British War Relief Society in New Orleans. She was presented with a medal signifying her honorary membership in the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire at a formal ceremony scheduled possibly in January 1965. Also Mrs Manuel? Duvic (Deirdre), of Metairie, Louisiana. Hilda Mary Leleux's daughter Hilda Mary Humphrey (of Wick, Caithness, Scotland) married James Innes Wilson of Forfar in 1949, and I am their daughter (living in Aberdeen, Scotland). The attached photograph was found behind a photograph of my mother in an old photograph frame - the identity of the girl is unknown, but she resembles my mother (the eyes especially), and the words "Master Portrait Studio, Montclair, NJ" appear on the frame. Any information regarding these relatives, or any information which might help me find the photographic studio which took the portrait and may have records relating to the family, would be greatly appreciated.
