Unrelated to my WELLS & LEIB research. Found this obituary in my research and extend it to other LEIB reesarchers. (Mine migrated from Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania to Wayne County, Ohio by the 1840 and then onto Iowa and Minnesota 1860; all in Union Regiments)

Man Drowned.--A young man by the name of John Leib, son of Daniel Leib, of Hopewell township, was drowned on Monday, the 15th inst., in Mr. Benjamin Ebaugh's dam. The young man seemed to be unusually fond of going into the water, and remaining a long time in it. In this instance, not being able to swim, he ventured beyond his depth and was drowned.
