The book THE LEATH (LEETH/LEITH) FAMILY HISTORY VOLUME I (1995) by Leslie R. Waltman and Andrew L. Leath, out-of-print since 1999, is being reprinted. The book follows the descendants of James Leath/Leeth who settled in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia about 1735, down for eight generations, or to about 1900.

Many Southern "Leeth" families (VA, TN, AL, TX, AR, MO) are included. Alas we've NOT been able to connect with the Leeth families of Ohio, so they are NOT in the book. :(
