There were Leathers' in Stafford Co., NH from very early times, but as yet I haven't been able to connect them with any modern people. For reference, see either A.H.Quint's "Edward Leathers & His Descendants" (on film from LDS) or"Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire.
