LAKE MILTON – Private services were held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, Boardman, Ohio, for Elda Naomi Swaniger, 79, who died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side.

Elda was born July 24, 1934, in Indiana, Pa., the daughter of the late Walter W. and Naoma K. (Henneman) Learn.
She moved to the area as a child and graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1952. She loved traveling and going to Bluegrass Festivals.
Elda loved spending time with family and especially family gatherings and events.
Elda is survived by her companion of 35 years; three children, Patricia A. (David) Dennison of Berlin Center, James W. (Terri) Keiper of Mount Gilead, OH and Terry R. (Swaniger) Omerzo of Niles, OH; three brothers, Richard Learn and Ralph (Christine) Learn, both of Austintown, Ohio and Donald (Georgianne) Learn of Youngstown; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Thomas Keiper.

Her eldest son, Robert K. Keiper, followed her in death on July 24, 2014.
