I am searching for any information from late summer or fall of 1770 for my ancestor Henry Leadbetter, his wife Sarah Cumber and their 3 children, Henry, Ebenezer & Elizabeth when they left Boston and may have settled in NB. I find decendants in Pugwash, NS in 1856, but need help filling in the gaps. My Great Grandfather, James W. Leadbetter came from a large family. He was born Oct. 17, 1857 in Pugwash, son of Peter A. Leadbetter and Susan Worth. I suspect that Peter A. Leadbetter may have been the son of the Peter Leadbetter who left Boston with his parents Henry and Sarah, but I need help in proving this. If anyone can steer me in the right direction I'd very much appreciate the help. I've been searching for these "missing Leadbetters" since 1979.
