Frances Powell Otken compiled a book in 1958 called the Wilson Family. I think about 66 pages. WorldCat indicates there is only one copy available and that is in the Tennessee State Library and Archives in Nashville. Does anyone have a copy? or seen it. I am interested in how Mrs. Otken documented the statements that Elizabeth Wilson was the daughter (or sister?) of Zaccheus Wilson, the Signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence.

Luke Lea's father James Lea owned land in 1752 on County Line Creek running adjacent to William Wilson and both were listed on the tax list 1752-1753 Orange Co. NC. The marriage of Luke Lea and Elizabeth Wilson apparently is registered in Orange Co. NC May 4, 1759. This area of Orange became Caswell County. I also noticed Luke Lea and Elizabeth Wilson had a son named William Wilson Lea born 1762 (no doubt in Orange Co.)

The first published record I have seen regarding Elizabeth Wilson and Rev. Luke Lea was published in 1911.
