Hello Lorraine:

I'm your cousin! Clarence Le Favour is my uncle. My dad is Jimmie Halladay. He was the youngest of the children of Orval and Neva, being born in 1910. Marshall was a couple years older than him (1908, I believe).

To shed a little light on the "Halladay Connection", let me share what came down through my Dad's telling of the stories... As I have read in this thread, Neva married Ed Halladay after she and Orval split up.

The story that my dad, Jimmie, used to tell is that he and Marshall ("Mike") left with Ed to go up to Greater Slave Lake in northern Alberta. They took his last name. I believe that Ed and Neva had split by that time. This would have been around 1920-22, or so, as near as I can figure out.

After their time in Canada, they came back down to the US and lived around Wallace/ Kellogg, ID. I believe Ed Halladay was a railroader. All I know for sure after that is that my dad had enlisted in the US Army by about 1933. He met my mother in Missoula, MT and married her in Victor, MT in 1945. He and Marshall were both pretty solidly Halladay's by then.
