It is with deep felt sorrow we have to record the death of our respected fellow citizen, AME LE BRETON (note: called "Amos" in the census) who died of cholera in the city of Cincinnatti, on the 16th ultimo, in the 70th year of his age.
Mr. Le Breton was a native of France, from which he emigrated many years ago, and settled in this city. About five years since his daughter, a highly accomplished and intelligent young lady, was married to a gentleman named Jennings. Mr. Jennings died of cholerea in the state of Mississippi. Mrs. Jennings survived her husband but a short time, and fell a victim to the same awful scourge, leaving her infant among straners. Mr. Le Breton, deeply affected with the calamity which had befallen his family, set out for the purpose of becoming the protector of his orphan grandchild, and on his return, was seized with the same disease, which had proved so fatal to his son-in-law and daughter, and died at Cincinnatti, leaving the bereaved orphan again among strangers..........We understand the child is to be placed under the care of Mrs. Risdel of this city, whose affection for the mother will be transferred with interest to her infant.
