Does anyone have any info on a Leblanc family from the Cheboygan Michigan area? Here are the family members I am researching:
Joseph b.abt.1858 in Fr. Canada, came to US in abt 1870. Found him in the 1910 Cheboygan MI census listed as following:
Joseph Head 52 wid.
George Son 21 S
Joseph,Jr.Son 19 S
Edgar Son 14 S
Mary Dau 10 S
Beatrice Dau 7 S

Edgar was married to a Lilea Boyea. They had 5 daughters, Geneivieve C. mar to Louis Sova, Elaine H. mar to Leonard Sova, Elizabeth m. to Mr.Beaugrand, Gladys mar. Mervin Kemper, Marion m.Bonsecours and a brother, Harold Leblanc

Any information on this family would really be appreciated.

I noted that one of your relatives, Edgar LeBlanc, had a daughte, Marion, that married a Bonsecours. I am looking for the ancestors of a Samuel James Bonsecours who was born in Cheboygan, Michigan, in 1890. I have seen an undocumented reference to a Marian Eugenia Bonsecours, but can offer no more. Anything you have on the Bonsecours part of your family would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

I have nothing on the Bonsecours family other than one of the LeBlanc sisters was married to a Bonsecours. I will keep you request in mind and if I come across any pertinent info will forward it to you. Good luck on your search.

Regarding Marian LeBlanc Bonsecours....I just found a copy of the obituary of Marian's older sister, Elaine LeBlanc Sova, dated April 21, 2004, and realized that there is a possibility that Marian is still living and maybe her husband is too. She was living in Cheboygan Michigan in 2004 and may be able to help you fill in the blanks. Happy hunting!

Thank you for the information. It did help me solve a riddle on a branch of the Bonsecours family. Marian LeBlanc (Elaine's sister) married a Graham, and they had five children. Marian married a second time and became the second wife of Alfred E. ("Bunk") Bonsecours, Jr.. They had no children. Marian still lives in Cheboygan, Michigan. Alfred, Jr., died in 2003. He had two children, both living. Now, if I could only find the parents of that illusive Samuel James Bonsecours.

I believe the George LeBlanc you refer to in the 1910 census is my grandfather. I've been looking for info on his father Joseph, and long suspected he came from Cananda. George married Alice LeBoeuf from Muskegon Mi. They had 7 children (I died at the age of 4). I would like to know any info you have on Joseph..appreciate any help with this. Thank you

Gladys M. "Francie" b. 12 Feb 1918 - married Aledard J. Franchy in 1940. He was born in 1917 and they had 2 children. She then married Mervin Kemper after Aledard passed in 1945 during WWII.

Harold Charles b. 4 Apr 1920 - married Norma J. Lanigan (she was a twin) in 1942. She was born in 1921 and they had 3 children.

Do you have any more information on Mr. Graham that married Marian Eugenia LeBlanc? She is my 1st cousin and I have little information on her or her children. I have 4 listed:

Julie
Michael
Patrick
Karen b. 1951

From you above post. I was able to find some wonderful 'pieces' to my grand 'puzzle'.
