How did you know that these particular Lawsons were from Gunpowder Manor MD? I am searching for Harriott ancestors who also lived in Gunpowder Manor on leased property known as Harriott's Hope. Lawson's lease was known as "Lawson's Manor" which was leased to John Lawson Dec. 25th 1743. The Harriotts took their lease in 1746. I have a letter written by A. L. Keith in the 1920's. He claims that Richard Harriott who leased "Harriotts Hope" had a daughter, Sarah Harratt who married a John Lawson from Baltimore Co. on Nov. 15th, 1764. Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate the source records he used. There is record of such a marriage and it is claimed that this John Lawson and Sarah Harratt Lawson also had a son, Moses Lawson. That particular Moses went to KY. The Moses you are referring to, however, seems to have to Codorus, York Co. PA. I cannot find much information on Harriotts so I've begun researching collateral families, like the Lawsons in an attempt to discover some respository of records that I might have missed along the way! If you can point me in the direction of some sources that I may have overlooked, I'd be eternally grateful.
