I was wondering if anyone might have information about or be related to a Sarah Ellen Lawless, born about August 1893 in Manchester, England. She's my great-grandmother. I believe she may be the daughter of John and Delia Lawless (nee Morrison?), found in the 1901 census in Manchester, along with two siblings, Ethel and John.
The census has the following information about them:
- John Lawless, aged 42, born in Flintshire, Rhyl, is a police constable.
- Delia Lawless, aged 36, born in Ireland
- Sarah E. Lawless, aged 7, born in Manchester
- Ethel Lawless, aged 4, born in Manchester
- John Lawless, aged 9 months, born in Manchester

...along with a boarder, John Keefe, who was also a police constable.

It's not confirmed that these people listed in the census are in fact my relatives, but the date, place, and name add up, so I am assuming that they are.

Sarah Ellen Lawless was sent to Canada as a home child in 1909. Not sure what happened to her parents between 1901 and 1909, nor what happened to her siblings, as I didn't see them in the home children archives.
