My grandfather, Fredrick LaValle, and his wife, Ethel Hartwick LaValle, were born and married in Canada and came to the US to live in Newfield NJ. My grandfather's father was Michael LaValle and his mother was Catherine Dempsey. My grandmother's father was John Baptiste Hartwick and her mother was Emma Freeland.
