Hello Russell, My mother is Barbara Laufer Schultz. She is Butch's 9th child. I do not know how accurate the stories are about the indian heritage, but my mother remembers family coming from the reservation, opening their trunk and my grandma Leona filling up the trunk. The story that my mother and grandmother told me was that one of our ancestors from Butch's side was an Sioux Indian Chief who married a German bride. I had always heard great, great, great grandfather, again not sure how accurate this is. Thank you for responding back to my post. My mom does not know many of her cousins from the Laufer side.
