I am searching for information about the Lathrop family in Iowa. This is my maternal grandmother's maiden name. Any info would be helpful... Most of her family is from eastern Iowa (Ottumwa, Batavia, etc.).

My Husband's maternal Grandmother was a Lathrop. She was born in Fairfield in 1918. Her father was James Frederick Lathrop. He was born in Fairfield in 1892. His father was Jasper Lathrop. He was born in Wapello in 1861. He married Alice Whittaker of Fairfield

The uncle of my grandfather for whom my grandfather was named, was Don Juan Lathrop. He was born in Elma,Erie, NY to Paul Brigham Lathrop and Laura (Chase). He graduated from Buffalo Medical College and moved to Iowa. Desperately seeking any info and relations to him. If anyone has any connections to this person, please contact me.
