I am trying to compile as much information on the Lanphier line as can be put together by all researchers working on the Lanphier line...particularly this spelling only. My Lanphier line entered America through Maryland and settled in the Washington DC and Alexandria Virginia areas. I would like to work with any researchers that are working on the Lanphier lines to try putting the different families together. There are lines in England, Ireland, Australia, Canada, New York, Connecticutt, Virginia, and a line listed in the family history center from Louisiana in the early 1700. Part of my line from Virginia moved to Memphis TN and New Orleans, LA in the middle 1800's.

MY Maiden name name is lanphier.born oak park in 1934. father was charles j. lanphier, two brothers ed and arthur,one sister josephine. their father william henry born ireland 1855.married christin1885. w.h.lanphier siblings are sisters margaret,minnie,adelaideand julia.brothers daniel and edward some of our cousins kept. lamphier on the 1870 census name spelled lamphier.1880 and there after lanphier. i was told the name was mis spelled on the trunks when they came from canada.my great grandfather w.h.lanphier born 1824 ireland married mary murphy b phil.,pa.he is burried canada winterbourne presbyterian cemetaryabout 1868-69. there i have a dead end. anxious to learn what you have or get.
