I am looking for any info anyone might have on my Lankford family. I have not been able to find anything at all in years of searching!! This is what I know My father was Travis Oliver Lankford,Jr. which would make his father Travis Oliver Lankfor,Sr. b.1903 in TX he had brothers and sisters that were Doris Morton Lankford, Carrie Lee Lankford,Edna,Marvel,Stanley, Collier and Inez as far as I know they were all born in TX between 1889-1913.
There parens were John Sidney Lankford and Sallie Vines I believe they were married in MS. but, do not even know that for sure. John Sidneys Father was F.M. Lankford (Have never known for sure what that stands for).
Would be very grateful for any info clues or even wild guesses as to where to find any info on these Lankfords.
I was always told John Sidney made his money buying and selling land but have been unable to find any deeds in his name. I have found very little paper anywhere with any of thses Lankfords names on it.
The counties in TX I have been told they lived were Mills,Brown,Jones, Ellisand Johnson.
Any one with any idea about these people please let me know. This has been a brick wall for me for about 20 years now!
