My grandfather was Robert A. Lankford called Bobby. He was definitely native american for my father and one sister definitely showed their Indian and their Mother Pearl Fuller Pearce Lankford was a redhead. Grandpa Bobby Lankford was born about 1867, the 1910 census he lived in Pittsburg County McAlester area listed as widowed born in Arkansas, then in 1920 married to Pearl Fuller Pearce whom had several Pearce children and listed as born in Ten. also living in the McAlester area. he died in MeAlester, Ok in 1933. I was told by his step daughters daughter that he had a brother that she remembered who lived in the area by the name of Melvi, Mervin or something like that.

My dad Robert Lankford died in 1955. I have pictures of my dad and my Mother thought he was Apache Indian, yet a family friend said he thought he may of been choctaw. My grandmother Pearl's daughter from her first marriage, married a full blooded Indian, her mother warned her it was very hard being married to an Indian. At that time it was still many predjadice people.
