I know very little about my grandfather and nothing about his family. He died when my father was a kid and my father died when I was a toddler.
1900 census show him as a widow in 1900 living in McAlester, Ok He married my grandmother a widow with several children S. Pearl Fuller Pearce in 1919 in McAlester, Ok and they had 3 children, the youngest being my father. Once again being widowed in 1928 before his death in McAlester July 1933. Humphrey, McAlester, Ok funeral records show there was deaths of several other Lankford's around McAlester, Pittsburgh County, Ok, I do not know if they were related or not, however Lankford spelled with a K instead of G is not real common. The others were an infant son of Henry H & Vera Lankford in 1919, Lee Lankford in 1925, and a Minnie Edward Lankford in 1938.does anyone know of these Lankford's? Being over 50 when he married my grandmother, he could of very well had other grown children or perhaps siblings in the area.
