Really...where from in Oklahoma and what is the names. My grandfather Robert A Lankford 1866-1933 is buried in McAlester, Ok & then my father Robert died in 1955 when I was just a toddler so we know nothing of his dads' family. My grandfather married my grandmother Pearl Fuller Pearce a widow with many Pearce children in 1919. I guess my dad always said he was Apache, but his best friend called him little choctaw. Not sure where the little came from, him being slim but well over 6'. I have a copy of my grandparents marriage license Nov 14, 1919 showing him to be 53 years old and my grandmother 38. The 1910 census says my grandfather is a widow, so being a widow at about that age...it is very likely that he had children from a prior marriage, however none of the Pearce children knew of any children prior to him marrying my grandmother and them having 2 daughters and my dad. A cousin in her 80's said he did have a brother or something that lived close to McAlester, Ok when she was a kid.
