Thank you. I will try to search backwards from the 1870 census. I've only found the 1910 & 1920 census that I know is my grandfather. I know nothing on his family. One lady called me and said she thought my family sounded like her family, which a Lankford for unknown reason was living on a Indian Reservation and married a young Indian girl in the mid 1850's. I have never found or been given documemtation of that. As far as my grandfather not having the flatter face or nose, I know a lot of 1/2 Indians that don't. My Aunt is married to a full blooded Imdian, they have a lot of kids, there all dark but several are very small featured like their Mother & several have the same defined features as there Indian dad. I've pretty much given up on searching much on the Lankford side. I just keep hoping that someone will remember hearing of their Lankford family living in Pitsburg County, Ok 1910-1940.
