I have a William H Lane born about 1859 in Wisconsin to Sarah Root and (possibly) Daniel B Lane. He could be living as early as 1870 in Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York with his grandfather Chauncey Root. After he is listed with Sarah and her husband Amos Eldred ("Eldridge") in Victor, Ontario County, New York, I am unable to find him. I assumed by the time his mother, Sarah, died in 1901 that he was also deceased since he is not named in her will. He has a brother, Jesse Charles Lane, born 1862 also in Wisconsin and perhaps a sister who died young named Carrie.
