Kathryn M. Shaw Lamb
Kathryn M. Shaw Lamb, age 84, of Lawrence Park, passed away Friday February 6, 2009 at the Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada on July 27, 1924 daughter of the late Goddard "Doc and Greta Holmes Shaw. She is survived by a son Terrance Lamb and his companion Judith Cochran of Waterford, a daughter Jackie Lamb-Anderson and her husband the Rev. Dr. Ralph Anderson of West Seneca, N.Y. Kathryn is also survived by her grandchildren: Krista Thomas and her husband Mark, their children Elliot and Tristian, Meghan Cann and her husband Matt, their children Aidan, Ava and Own, Joshua Anderson and his wife Teresa and their son Gavin, Jacob Anderson and Gerald Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years and the former Chief of Police of the Lawrence Park Police Department, Gerald R. Lamb. She was a Companion of Health Care Aide taking care of all her elderly neighbors, always showing them the greatest care and kindness. Kathryn was a Civil War Buff and a voracious reader. She was always rescuing animals. Although loving all her pets, her cat Sheridan was her beloved companion. She also enjoyed collecting antiques. A Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday afternoon, February 14th, at 1 p.m. at the Lawrence Park Methodist Church, 4015 Niagara Place with Rev. Rich Pearson officiating. No flowers please; memorials may be made to the Lawrence Park Fire Department, 4102 Main Street, Erie, PA 16511, the Humane Society 2707 Interchange Road, Erie, PA, 16506 or Erie City Mission, 717 French St., Erie, PA 16501. The G.R. Bailey Funeral Home, 4396 Iroquois Ave. Lawrence Park handled funeral arrangements.
