BROOKFIELD – John Lakatos, 62, formerly of Fowler, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Saturday morning, March 29, 2014, at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
John was born in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) on March 8, 1952, a son to John Franklin Lakatos Sr. and JoAnne (McCombs) Miller.
John was a retired member of the Teamsters Union since 2008, a member of the Greenville Sportsmans Club and an active shooter of skeet, trap, and registered shoots.
He was an avid hunter and had a passionate love for fishing from coast to coast. In his spare time, he also enjoyed to golf.
He will be missed by his mother, Joanne; his wife, Cindy Lakatos, whom he married on Aug. 29, 2013; one daughter, Holli Lakatos of Fla.; one son, Sean Lakatos; two stepdaughters, Jordan and Dru Gerace; one stepson, Joey Gerace; one brother, David (Donna) Miller of Fla.; two sisters, Faith Lakatos of Hermitage, Pa. and Denise Hillier of Fla.; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal grandmother, Ethel McCombs. A private service will be held for John at a later date and time.
