Minerva I. Laich, 78,
of Latrobe, died Saturday, May 31, 2008,
at her residence,
Born July 15, 1929, in Saltsburg,
she was a daughter of the late Russell Harr Sr. and Anna (Gilligan) Harr.
Minerva was a member of St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. She was a wonderful mother and loving friend and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She also enjoyed playing cards.
Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Laich, who was saving the last dance for her;
two brothers, Russell Harr Jr.
and Edward Harr;
and three sisters, Hazel Myers,
Marcella Snyder
and Marjorie Blystone.
Minerva is survived by two sons, Paul Laich, of Illinois, and David Laich, of Latrobe;
three daughters, Carol Reed, of Latrobe,
Susan Laich, of Latrobe,
and Bonnie Frye, of Apollo;
a brother, Harold Harr, of Latrobe;
two sisters, Erma Burrell, of Latrobe,
and Elsie Baird, of Ligonier;
nine grandchildren, Renee, Duke,
Tammi, Davie, Scott, Marie, Derek,
Aaron and Andre;
and seven great-grandchildren, LuJack, Alyssa,
Bo, Paige, Autumn, Cody and Isabella.
Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends
will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. Interment in St. Vincent Cemetery. Mom's suffering has ended,
but for some women it still exists.
