The St. John's RC parish marriage register only starts in 1821. Before that we only have the baptisms. There doesn't seem to be any Patrick or Bartholomew Lahiffs in the baptism register either but that doesn't mean a thing. Only a portion of the RC church functions were ever recorded in that period after the 1798 rebellion.
The closest documented marriage to 1814 for a John Lahiff was in Fedamore parish in 1816. I'm just looking at an index so I don't know who that John L married but it probably wasn't a Bowles as I have never found them there.
So it doesn't look like much help from church registers.
The names Woolfe and Dixon didn't help me either.
I can say though that the Bowles did live on John Street so Bridget was not necessarily being looked after by the church. The Lucas Directory of Ireland has a Mrs. Bowles, baker, on John Street in 1788 and a Michael Bowles, broguemaker, had his home and shop on John Street in 1827. Likely both at the same location on John Street but I don't know that for sure.
Actually that probably is your Bridget's home as Michael's landlord was a Samuel Dickson according to the 1827 property assessment. Dickson probably is Dixon. In Griffiths Valuation of 1850, there is a Michael Bowles with a shop on Dickson's Lane, St. John's parish.
That's all I've got.
