These are two different Moses Merrills. The Moses who died in 1767 married Dorcas Abbott and had Penelope and Moses (in his Revolutionary War pension application, Moses the son of Moses and Dorcas said he was "born in Pembroke in the County of Merrimack and State of New Hampshire and was moved to Concord when he was very young by his father and that he lived in Concord about ten years then back to Pembroke from thence to Epping lived there about 5 years from thence to Exeter lived there about two years from there to Brentwood lived there until he entered the service of the United States and since lived in Brentwood about four years and then moved to Meredith lived there for forty six years and last part and now resides in the same place.").
