Hello,

I found this website while searching the internet for information, and I am hoping that one of you may be able to assist me. I am researching my great uncle, Eugene James Carter, who died on Guam during World War II while in the Marines. My great grandmother received a letter from a Wilbert Eugene Pruitt in 1948 that talked about the night Gene died. According to Pruitt, three of his best friends died while fighting alongside him in a fox hole on Guam on July 21st 1944. He refers to them as my great uncle, Russell Brubaker, and Robert Kyzar from Mississippi.

From what I can find, Robert was from Columbia, MS. I was just wondering if any of you could put me in contact with any relatives of Robert Kyzar's. I would like to learn more about him as well as share information that I have about the night he died.

I realize that this is a stretch, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

KC

Hello,

I am Carl Richmond Kyzar (Richie). My greatgrandmother was Rosalee Kyzar, which was Robert's mother. Roberts brother, Raymond, was my grandfather. I would love to hear about the stories you have heard and I can share info that I have learned over the years. My brother, Reese, is named after Robert. I know your post is from over two years ago but I am hoping you see this!! Thanks

Carl R. Kyzar
