There is a Frank Kyte in my ancestry. He was
a government surveyor in the late 1800's. I,
too have been trying to to figure how he is
related. My father referred to him as Uncle
Frank, but its not that simple. My Kyte relatives
came from Sussex County, New Jersey. Could
this be the Frank that interests you? I have
little on him, but know about many other Kytes
from that area.

Dear Mr. C. Kyte,
I am Angel Hendrickson's sister and I am also working on our family ancestry. I have some hand written records which show some early Kytes deaths in Jersey City, N.J. The Father of these kytes was Felix Kyte from Lydd County, of Kent England who married Eliza Gregier(?) of New York City and all but one child was born in New York City out of 10 children.

If any of this information is pertinant to your search I would be happy to share more and would like to hear what your search has shown about the Kytes on the East Coast. Most of my info is for the Michigan Kytes and Battle Creek.

If you like, you can e-mail me at brandy@baldwin.k12.mi.us

Thank you,
Bronwyn Groeneveld

I have several Kyte ancester who were in Brooklyn and then Fanwood and Plainfield, NJ from about 1870 to 1900. These include Charles (born in Barbados in 1816), son George (born 1847 in British Guiana), and grandson George Dudley Kyte (born 1877 in Brooklyn). Any connections?

Looking for ancestors of Israel/Isaac Kyte b. about 1832 somewhere in the New England States. He immigrated to Canada (probably in 1840's-50's through New Brunswick. He died July 27, 1904 in southern Ontario.

I know of two "Frank Kytes," both who lived at Cresco, Iowa.
I met one of them in Cresco, in or about 1954. The other was one that I read about, in an Iowa history book. He lived in the 19th Century.
