I've been researching my ancestors some who are Rousars. My great granfather Jan-John Rousar DOB 1844 in Bohemia. He immigrated toCaledonia Wis. in1874, his wifes name was Barbery, they had four children, Anna, John, Rosse, and Joseph. Some are buried at the Bohemian National Cemetary on five mile road between hwy 32 and hwy38 north of Racine. Ive been able to get census records, birth cert. death records, marrage records, nat. papers, etc at the Univ. of Wisc. Parkside campus Kenosha Wisc. Also the museum and research center has a wealth of info. and records in downtown Racine. Hope this helps,Clyde Bohn

I am taking a long shot here in searching for information. I note the name Boldus in this thread. I also note responses to this thread which mention Bohemia and Racine, WI.

I am searching for information regarding Robert Boldus b. Feb. 1861 who married "Hilda" b. April 1862. Hilda was from Bohemia. They are listed in the 1900 Racine census.

Robert was born in WI. His parents were born in Germany. I have no further information. Hilda was born in Bohemia. I do not know her maiden name or other information.

Their children were: Emma, Robert J (my grandfather), George F., Bernard and Rowland. Please respond with any information which may assist me. Thank you
