Looking for information about Rueben Kynion. Married to Alice Victoria ?? Rueben died about 1894, Alice Victoria died about 1891. Had a son named Henry Reed Kynion, born 3/2/1891, who resided in Jackson, Missouri until his death in 1975. Anyone who has information about this family please email me! Thanks!

My mother's mother was a Kynion. They are from around Cape Girardeau, Missouri - close to Jackson, Missouri. What I know about her is that she was quite a bit Indian (Choctaw) and she called herself "Black Dutch" She was born in 1888 and died in 1963. She married a Morrison; and moved to Gideon, Missouri. She had two sisters who lived to be over 100 years. She died at age 76 in 1963. I doubt that this is the same Kynion you're unquiring about, but i guess possible. My grandmother's sisters that lived to be over 100 names were Addie and "Sissy" don't know what her real name was. My grandmother's name, I think was Victoria. I can't remember for sure. Come to think of it, I may be wrong about that; Victoria might have been my grandmother's husband's mother's name

Thanks for the info. As it turns out, my gggrandmother's name was actually Mary Alice Goodman McNeely (previous marriage) instead of Alice Victoria as I originally thought. However, it is very likely that the our families are connected in some way. I've never heard of your Ida May Kynion or her sisters before, but I will ask my grandmother. She may know them. Again, thanks!

Hi Marge,

Honor Kynion was my gg grandfather Ruebin R. Kenyon's (spelling later changed to Kynion) sister. She actually had at least twelve siblings that I know of:

Nancy Elizabeth
Reed (Ruebin)
Polly Ann
Sarah
John F.
James A.
Rachel C.
Margaret L.
Missouri Ann
Simeon
Barbara
Vernette

Their parents were John Kenyon and Mary Brooks Kenyon. Beyond names, I don't have very much information on any of these Kynions, other than Ruebin. Would you be interested in sharing info? I would love to have whatever info you have about Honor and her sister!

Hi Marge,

Good to hear from you again! I have made some progress with researching this line, too, and would love to trade info. Please email me at kdsmith@yahoo.com. Always glad to hear from a Kynion researcher, only know of one other from this line!

Thanks,
K.
