I really didn't think that I'd hear from anyone regarding the Kyllo name. Thanks for writing. E-mail soon!

Hi Kathy,
Can't figure out how to contact you by e-mail. Yes, we must be related. Who did you visit when you came to Hayfield? My e-mail is gumma@clear.lakes.com. Please e-mail me so we can write. There are all kinds of Kyllo's in our area!! Some are related to my husband and some aren't.

Hi! Received your message. This is getting quite interesting and fun. The Kyllo brothers that were in Hayfield/Stewardville, MN were Timmon and Palmer Kyllo. Down, somewhere in the area, (maybe Austin) is Joris Lorraine Kyllo. His dad was Timmon (sp.). I have a Barber Shop in North Bend, WA (where I live) and I have a customer whose mother's maiden name is Kyllo from Hayfield, MN. We're probably related also, but we're not sure. My customer's name (with maiden name) is Lorraine Kyllo, but not the same Lorraine that I know of.I didn't realize that there might be two different Kyllo families down in that area.Concerning your e-mail you must be able to e-mail people so just put me in your address book:
Kathy (Kyllo) Hudgins thehudgins1@AOL.COM Then click on send and it should bring up your e-mail.I'll send you an e-mail also and see if you get my e-mail.I'll probably duplicate my message, but that's OK then you'll get it either way. This is exciting.Does your husband have any relatives that he knows of in Lacross, WA? Well, write when you can. Kathy

My grandfather was John Kyllo, Sr. from Lacross, WA. He had a brother named Ole Kyllo, but I don't know if it's the same one. Are there any other siblings to Ole? My father was John Kyllo, Jr. who passed away a year ago this December. I have had quite a few relatives by the last name of Kyllo who lived in Hayfield, MN. Palmer Kyllo and Timmon Kyllo (they were brothers to John Kyllo, Sr.). There is a Joris Lorraine Kyllo in I believe Austin, MN. Let me know of any other information that you may have on the Kyllo name.
Kathy

That would make Ole Kyllo 104 yrs. old when he died. Where did he live during his time in America? I've had a lot of relatives that lived in Lacross, WA. My grandfather's brother was an Ole Kyllo. I'll try find out when my great uncle Ole Kyllo died. Do you know of any of his brothers?

My father's name is Ole Kyllo and lives in Lacrosse, Wa. He was born on the farm in 1919. The farm is located 3 miles from Selbu Lutheran Church. His father's name was Henry Kyllo. I have 2 uncles, Harold (Spokane) and Palmer (Tacoma)who passed away last month. I also have 2 aunts, Ida Sather (deceased) and Selma Carlson (Colfax).
Henry worked with the railroad after moving from Norway, He then moved to Lacrosse to farmsteam, probably around 1914 or so.
I do not know of any other Ole Kyllo that ever lived in Lacrosse Wa. There was an Ole Slind Sr. that farmed and Ole Slind Jr who doctored in Colfax. There was also Ole Kjoesnes who farmed by Hay Washington.
I do not have all of the information on the Kyllos with me right now but if you wish addition information, feel free to reply.
