KYLES of Chambers County, Alabama
Anthony and Liz Kyles parented six boys; Ollie, Ale, John, Ned, Charlie and Will. I am searching for information on any of these relatives. They lived in and around LaFayette, Alabama which is located in Chambers County, Alabama. I have information linking them to Texas but I have been unable to find the connection.

Re: My last name is Kyles
Hi: How come so many of the Kyles family went to the USA and very few in Canada? My grandparents arrived in Montreal, Quebec about 1923 from Scotland. Grandfathers name Albert Kyles, his Dad's name: William Doig Kyles, Mom's: Elizabeth (Calder) Albert was born in 1875, Portobella Duddingston and died in 1954. Can't seem to get a lead on the Kyles name at all, and wonder if there was a misprint somewhere and the name was originally Kyle or viceversa. Can you help? Nancy

Re: My last name is Kyles
I am convinced that the name was Kyle and in the late 1800's for some reason began being spelled Kyles.I have not found any Kyles in the Census records of Lafayette Alabama before the late 1800's. It is most likely a dialect miss interpretation.
