I know that most of the Kyler lines here on this list are from Pennsylvania. Mine doesn't seem to follow that reasoning.

George Keiler b 1743 in Germany, married Esther Appler. Their son George Keiler, Jr., b 1776 in Maryland married Polly Etzler and had several children. When she died, he married Lydia Goering Zimmerman and had one child that I know of...
Jacob Goering Kiler, b 1818 in PA. When George died, they were in Ohio.
Jacob married Editha Scott Shockley in Ohio. They had several children there, moved to Illinois and had several more.
Their son Uel L. Kiler b 1851 IL, married Nancy Matthews. Their son Herman Goering Kiler b 1874 IL. who married Anna Elizabeth Aymer, and had five sons, and moved to WI.
If there's anyone out there who is of this line, I'd sure like to hear from you.
Thanks,

Hi Carlette

I wish I could help but I'm a "PA" derived Kyler myself! Good luck.

My husband's line is through George Keiler b. 1743 and his son Jacob b. 1768 m. Ruth Brown. I would like to know where this family came from in Germany. I have done a lot of research on this family and can help anyone interested

There were several Kyler families that settled in or near Williams County, OH. They were brethren families.

Do you have any info on a PA Keiler family with Charles, Jacob Miles and Charles Israel? They were from Clinton County in the late 1800s.

I know this is an old post but i'm hoping you might be able to help me find the parents of George Keiler b.1743, Germany.
he is my GGGGGG Grandfather. I have seen some info that leads me to believe he was born in Rhines Provinces wondered if you had found the same information or if you had any more definitive answers. I BELIEVE his parents are Jacob Keiler Sr and Eleanor but i'm not positive.

Hi. I don't know if you are replying to my post, but.... :o)

I did find that at least two and possibly more brothers, sons of Jacob Keiler, b about 1720 and Eleanor unknown surname, arrived in America about the same time from the Rhine River valley in Germany. I don't have any information on who might be the parents of either Jacob or Eleanor. Sorry.

I do have scads of stuff on the son of George Keiler and Lydia Goering, whose name was Jacob Goering Kyler, if anyone needs that. And, if anyone has more than I do, please do share. Photos or documents or whatever???? Thanks.

The George Keiler that I am related to was born in 1790 in Germany, probably Wurttemburg or Wurrtemberg as that is where his son Peter and daughter in-law Christina came from. They all settled in Pottsgrove, Montgomery PA. George was married in Germany. Peter and Christina had several children and adopted one who was my great grandmother.
