I am looking for information regarding Andrew Jackson Kyler's ancestors &/or descendants. According to 1900 Census Newton Co., MO he was born in IN May 1850 and married Judith Huber approx. 1881, their oldest son John J. was born in IN Jan. 1884; three other children Charles W., Dora E., and Daisy P. were born in AR. In 1910 the family has moved to OK, but this time Andrew J. reports being born in OH. During the 1918 influenza epidemic, most of the Kylers died and were buried in the family plot in Ochelata, Washington Co., OK-I have been unable to find any burial records and there is no tombstone. Any information please contact me. I'd be happy to share information.

I am descended from Jacob Kyler or Kiler, who was born in OH and died in IL around 1850. His mother was Lydia Goering and he married Editha Scott Shockley in OH before moving to IL. If this is a connection, you can email me at dchaskett@worldnet.att.net.

My great-grandfather was Eldridge Vietch Kyler he was born May 22, 1850 in Chambersburg, PA. His father was Henry Kyler I believe his mother was Mary Jane Stuart. His father had a first cousin by the name of David Wurtz. My great-grandfather named his first son Jacob. I know that he also had a brother, William D. Kyler who died Aug 23, 1938. Since it is such an unusual name, I figure we must be related somehow. Eldridge had 12 children. I have alot of info from Eldridge down to the present, but am trying to go back. If I can be of any help, please contact me.

I probably should have put into my previous post that my great-grandfather, Eldridge Vietch Kyler, married a Mary Margaret Norrick, born July 13, 1855 in Bowerston, Harrison Co, Ohio, in Missouri on Sept 21, 1873. Like a said in the previous post, it is such an unusual name, I have never met anyone with this name that wasn't related. So I figure we all must be related somehow. Anyway I would be interested in sharing info or just chatting with possible "cousins".

Brenda, It is quite possible that we might be related. Where in MO did your relatives marry? I have been searching census records, but it sure gets confusing unless you know the county and town. Our library is repairing the binding on the indexes. Please contact me at aandmfoster@juno.com. Thanks, Annette

Belinda, I'm sorry, I addressed my last message to Brenda-that was supposed to be you. Please see my previous message. I realized I had the wrong name right after I hit the submit button.

My great grandfather, Eldridge Vietch Kyler, was b 22 May 1850 near Chambersburg, Franklin Co. PA His parents were Mary Jane Stuart henry Kyler. Eldridge or E.V. as everyone called him married Mary Margaret Norrick, b 13 July 1855 in Bowerston, Harrison Co, Ohio. Her family came to Missouri in 1867 I believe. I don't know when E.V. came to MO, but they were married on 21 Sept 1873 by teh Rev D.O. Hink. I would assume that they were married in either DeKalb or Andrew Counties, as I believe that is where they lived almost their entire lives they lived in DeKalb Andrew Counties. They both died were buried near Union Star, DeKalb Co. My grandmother was the 11th last child born of this marriage. I have info on all of their children descendants. Would love to hear more from you. Take care, Belinda
