Sorry, I don't have any information about a Charles Kydd with a middle name of Norman.

Do you have any information about your grandfather? When and where was he born? Who was his mother? With this information I might be able to discover more about your great grandfather.

My grandfather was William Norman Kydd, from Kirkaldy in Fife. His brother was Thomas Kydd and their father was Charles Norman Kydd.

Where are you from? It could be too much of a coincidence that the names match up so well! I'll see if I can get some further info from the family regarding dates, etc.

Excellent. My grandfather (William Norman Kydd) was married to my Grandmother (Edith Lillian Betton) in Rugeley. He was living in Garston, Liverpool at the time according to the marriage certificate, and worked for the electricity industry as a cable jointer. His fathers (this being Charles Norman Kydd) occupation on the marriage certificate was also quoted as a cable jointer. I was born and bred in Rugeley - my mother (maiden name of Kydd) still lives there. Currently I am living in Stafford, with my family.

Look forward to being in touch again very soon!

Noticed your exchanges in this forum. just to let you know I have an extensive data base for major portion of Angus with quite a bit in the Perth and Fife areas. I am currently cross referencing between GRO and MI's and Census records. noted there is a Charles Norman Kydd married in Inveresk in 1908 entry #31 This may be your entry. I haven't done anything on looking at this record yet so can not give you details.
So far I have not come across anything for a William Norman Kydd but do have something in the 1992 marriages for a William N Kydd but that would be Dundee. If you can get back that far I'm sure I may already have something in this data base about your family. Just keep in mind.

Thanks for the input. My Grandfather (William Norman Kydd) was married in Rugeley, Staffordshire. I am waiting for some information regarding my great grandfather (Charles Norman Kydd) from family members, relating to marriage dates, etc.

When I have this I may well send it to you to cross check against your data.

Thanks again
